Slightly lighter gold-hued than the 2016, the 2017 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is another riveting Chardonnay from Thomas Brown. Honeysuckle, marmalade, caramelized peaches, and spice notes all dominate the bouquet, and it's a more focused, linear wine compared to the 2016 yet still has beautiful depth and purity. This is another powerful wine that will be loved by California Chardonnay lovers out there.

About the Producer
In 2007, the owners of Schrader Cellars along with good friends David and Judy Steiner became the proud owners of a phenomenal parcel of land two ridgelines in from the Sonoma Coast and named it Boars’ View. What started out as a grassy, untamed hilltop where wild boars roamed free has now become an exceptional Sonoma Coast vineyard thanks to the vineyard management prowess of Ulises Valdez Sr. and winemaking excellence of Thomas Rivers Brown. Presented by Fred Schrader and partners, this legendary brand has brought forward a complement of wines that are profound, distinctively Sonoma Coast, and unmistakably Boars’ View. When we began examining the unique terroir of Boars’ View, we discovered a small section of Coastal Clay perched on the highest slope of the Boars’ View Vineyard. While the Goldridge Loam covering the lower slopes was a perfect fit for Pinot Noir, we knew this small plot was calling for Chardonnay and planted Wente clone. Our Boars’ View Estate Chardonnay is an incredibly rich wine, offering wonderful fruit aromatics that are a signature of the Sonoma Coast.
