Lewis Cellars Chardonnay Napa Valley 2019 - First Bottle

Reviews

94 Jeb Dunnuck -
All three of the Chardonnays are great, and the 2019 Chardonnay Napa Valley is well worth seeking out. Its medium gold hue is followed by a great, classic nose of ripe white peach, caramelized citrus, white flowers, and a touch of rocky, mineral-like nuances. It's actually made in a fresher, more elegant style than the richer Sonoma County release yet brings plenty of richness and texture.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!

ROCK SOLID are the words that come to mind when speaking of Lewis -- they just CRUSH it every year. We love Napa's 2019 white wines from what we have tasted thus far, and Lewis's Chardonnay is pretty stunning even at this early stage of its life. This is dense, concentrated, and super powerful with all the uber-ripe stone fruits, citrus, caramelized barrel notes, and subtle kisses of vanilla that we've come to expect from this all-time classic. 94 points, under $50 and we're throwing in free shipping on 3 because you need this in your life! Trust your Napa Valley wine merchant!

ONLY 15 CASES! First come, first served…!

PAIRING IDEAS: Oh man, the first thing that comes to mind is our very own Bistro Jeanty or Bouchon’s versions of Sole Meuniere. Subtle, clean fish, rich brown butter, lemon...perfect!

MUSIC SUGGESTIONS: This is happy stuff. We’d go with the classic B-52s album “Cosmic Thing” so you can dance the evening away!

About the Producer

In 1992 Debbie and Randy Lewis established a small family winery in Napa Valley and were later joined by their son Dennis in 1999. Total production is approximately 9,000 cases annually of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. They are literally hands-on in every aspect of vineyard management, winemaking, sales and distribution, and they thrive on this challenge and the relationships they cultivate in the process. It is their continuing goal to create world-class wines.
