A wonderful and rather exotic white with aromas of pears, lychees, lemons and some green apples that follow through to the palate and show layers of dreamy texture and a long, flavorful finish. The texture is more like a red that a white. Fermented and aged in slightly larger oak barrels. This is a special wine and the best release so far. Very intense.

We HAD to try this 100% Sauvignon Blanc the moment it hit our warehouse last week, direct from the Chateau. CHEVAL BLANC! Over some very fine pasta at Oenotri in Napa, all of us were wowing and oooohing. Pure grapefruit, white peach, candied citrus, mint and mineral just POP out of the glass but this just washes over your mouth with laser-like acidity, slightly tropical flavors, citrus for days, and truly astounding length. WHAT.A.TREAT! For this price, this DEFINITELY is a cool special occasion wine that isn't in the stratosphere --- for its rarity alone, it’s a no-brainer for collectors and enthusiasts...!
