This was love at first sip. A new discovery to our tasting panel and one that really shined against some heavy hitting Champagne competition; we just loved the deft balance and mineral intensity of this new-comer. Spending 42 months on the lees and then bottled without dosage, the potent, chalky minerals and citrusy yellow fruits express themselves beautifully. It's all Mesnil class and elegance with a ton of yeasty nuance with raw Rye dough and wild brewers yeast, brioche, candied ginger and Meyer lemon zest. It is long and crisp and leaves you wondering where the rest of the bottle went. Just the way we like our Champagne. While it lasts...!

About the Producer

Born from the vision and commitment of two Italians, Enrico and Nadia Baldin, Champagne Encry is produced only from vineyard parcels located in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a Grand Cru village located in the heart of Côte des Blancs. Enrico has always been in love with champagne, even though his main business is bioengineering and environmental restoration. Enrico has gained experience in using a system called " hydroseeding", a process that entails the usage of special blends of natural products, including a mix of selected seeds to restore the original habitat. This cultivation technique has been applied to these Champagne grape vines and has led Enrico to start the Encry project.
