About The Producer
Represented by the symbol of a navigational wind rose, 32 Winds began as owner Ed Mascarin set out on a journey. Born and raised in a farming region of Central California, Ed is the 3rd generation of vineyard managers and winery workers in his large Italian family. In pursuit of a dream to return to his roots, Ed, together with his daughter Mia, brought this vision to life, creating the finest wines from legendary Sonoma County and Napa Valley.
Winemaker Matt Taylor, an invaluable addition to the small family-owned operation, oversees the vineyards and vinification. Taylor’s impressive career spans the globe and includes wineries Domain Dujac and Araujo. His knowledge of winemaking and vineyards are the perfect fit to build on 32 Wind’s vision.

Slightly more expensive, the single vineyard 2018 Pinot Noir Platt Vineyard spent 17 months in 20% new barrels. It's a bigger wine, with a touch more mid-palate density and depth, yet it still has plenty of underlying structure and tannic grip, offering up lots of redcurrant and darker cherry fruit as well as curing spices, smoke, and foresty, earthy notes. Give this rocking effort 2-4 years of bottle age and enjoy over the following decade or more. This beauty strikes a good balance between Old World and New World.
