Pietranera Brunello di Montalcino 2015 - First Bottle

Reviews

95 James Suckling -
Extremely perfumed and pretty with plum and black-cherry aromas, as well has just hints of cedar. Full body, chewy tannins and lots of fruit. Yet, it's always reserved and beautiful. Needs three or four years to come together. Drink after 2022.
94 Wine Spectator -
This alluring red combines bright strawberry and cherry fruit with salty, savory notes of mineral, loamy earth, tobacco and wild herbs. Solidly built, exhibiting dense tannins and fresh appeal, this remains balanced and long. Best from 2022 through 2040. 6,000 cases made, 2,000 cases imported.

The Peluso Centolani family bought this property in the heart of Montalcino in 1979 as a hunting preserve, when it consisted of only 10 hectares (today it is 45 hectares) from a single contiguous vineyard located on the southeast side of the hill, facing the Amiata Mountain, which is an ancient volcano. Read the reviews below to get a sense of how delicious this is -- but do it quick...we don’t have much!!

About the Producer

The Peluso Centolani family bought this property in the heart of Montalcino in 1979 as a hunting preserve, when it consisted of only 10 hectares. The lawyer Prof. Giovanni Peluso, was a passionate hunter and initially bought the property for his love of hunting and the Tuscan landscape, as the estate is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Montalcino.
