Palmer Alter Ego Margaux 2008 - First Bottle

Reviews

90 Wine Spectator -
This is a step up, with a level of glycerin that sets it apart from the pack, showing ripe, mouthfilling plum, fig and blackberry fruit laid over a nice graphite spine. Sweet tobacco and violet notes fill in on the lengthy finish. Drink now through 2016. 7,250 cases made.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
This is NOT a second wine! Alter Ego is a unique wine from select parcels on the Palmer's sprawling 163 acres. Yes, there are times when some of the Grand Vin is declassified into this wine, but for the most part, this its own animal. While the press didn't rave for this wine after bottling, we can say that after a ten year slumber, this wine is drinking amazing...see for yourself.
