Reviews

97 Wine Enthusiast -
Wine Enthusiast #1 Wine of 2020! Made by Philippe Melka and his team, this is a grippy, earthy wine, vibrant in blue fruit, plum and sage. Round, lush and opulent on the palate, it glides seamlessly across supple, integrated tannin and oak, effortlessly incorporating 11% Merlot and 6% Petit Verdot. The vineyard sources range from the producer's Mole Hill Estate on Howell Mountain to the cooler reaches of Coombsville.
93 Jeb Dunnuck -
A blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot from a multitude of vineyards, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueprint reveals a saturated purple color as well as classic notes of blackcurrants, tobacco, damp earth, chocolate, and hints of new leather. Beautifully balanced, medium to full-bodied, ripe, and textured, it's a smoking good, affordable effort well worth seeking out. It will evolve for 10-15 years or more.
92 James Suckling -
A rich, juicy red with lots of blackberry, blueberry and tar character. Medium to full body, velvety tannins and a delicious finish. Some graphite at the end. Mostly cabernet sauvignon but 11% merlot (rare) and 6% petit verdot. Really enjoyable now. Drink or hold.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!

Not only Wine of the Year, but a whopping 97 POINTS and a head-spinning price. What are you waiting for? Will be gone in hours...only about 12 cases left! If hedonistic, rich, plush, structured Cabernet from the lush and verdant Napa Valley is your bag, we certainly are crushing it today! Robin Lail, of course, is a Napa legend -- she literally grew up in a winery with the founding of Inglenook Vineyards in 1879 by her great-granduncle, the iconic Captain Gustave Niebaum, and her father, John Daniel. Napa as we know it would not be the same without these iconic people!

But, back to the deliciousness that is this Cabernet. Philippe Melka, as always, NAILS it, with tons of black/blue fruit, mocha, and beautifully harmonious texture and balance. Goes on for DAYS, it seems, and drinks like something quite a bit more expensive. Bravo, we say! $69.95, with free ground shipping on 3! While it lasts!
