Domaine de la Milliere Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc 2016 - First Bottle

Reviews

92 Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate -
Made entirely in stainless steel, the 2016 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc has turned out very well. A blend of 35% each Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc with 20% Clairette and 10% Roussanne, it manages to be full-bodied and rich yet fresh and zesty, finishing on lingering notes of anise and citrus. -- Joe Czerwinski in Issue #233, OCT 2017

Wow! What a tongue-tingling, brain-percolating white! 92 points and singing with lemon/lime, starfruit and waxy peaches...fresh and zippy and finishing with a bit of minty freshness.

About the Producer

It was in the 1940's that Fernand Arnaud bought La Milliere. At that time on the estate, vineyards were side by side with fruit orchards. At the age of 14, Aime, Fernand's son, decided to devote his life to vines and wine. Over time, Aime, aided by his father's advice, transformed La Milliere, making the estate fully dedicated to growing grapes. For him, his vocation was laid out: he would be a grower and winemaker. Michel, Aime's son, took over La Milliere in 1983, making him the 5th generation of Arnaud vinegrower-winemakers. Since then, Michel has continued to apply the knowledge handed down to him by his parents and grandparents. In his footsteps comes Vincent, his eldest son, who has just joined the estate. He continues the family history that has been at the heart of La Milliere for many decades.
