Cattleya Pinot Noir Cuvee Number One 2015 - First Bottle

Reviews

95 Jeb Dunnuck -
Two different clones: the Dijon 115 and the Pommard, are the backbone of the 143-case 2015 Pinot Noir Cuvee Number One. Its deep ruby color is followed by fabulous notes of violets, blackberries, herbs and forest floor aromas and flavors. Concentrated, vibrant and thrillingly pure, it`s a sensational Pinot that shows how good this vintage is for Pinot Noir in Sonoma. While it`s the least expensive in the lineup, it`s unquestionably one of the best values. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years.

Head-turning, to say the least. Wow! 95 points might be a bit low! So much intensity here -- Bibiana's just KILLING it!

About the Producer

Bibiana Gonzalez Rave is the founder and winemaker of Cattleya Wines. Born and raised in Colombia and trained as a winemaker in France, she moved to California in 2007. She had always dreamt of making wine since she was a teenager. She trained herself while working with some amazing winemakers who showed her the importance of loving the land, how to respect the farming, and to focus on the many details that go into making each bottle. Making the highly acclaimed wines of Pahlmeyer and Wayfarer over the last several years inspired her to go out on her own and the results are extraordinary. You heard it here folks, this is a producer you want to know!
