Betz Family Winery Proprietary Red Clos de Betz 2015 - First Bottle

Reviews

95 Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate -
The 2015 Clos de Betz is a blend of 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. Offering up aromas of blackcurrants, cr?me de cassis, licorice, incense and rich soil tones, it's full-bodied, layered and velvety, with super concentration and depth, fine-grained structuring tannins and a long, youthfully chewy finish. The structural refinement and detail are indicative of Betz's thoughtful approach to the challenges of the 2015 vintage.
93+ Jeb Dunnuck -
Moving to the Bordeaux blends, the 2015 Clos de Betz is 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. This medium to full-bodied, nicely textured, elegant 2015 gives up lots of plum, chocolate, leafy herbs, and wet rock-like aromas and flavors. It’s going to drink nicely on release.

Too late, we are SOLD OUT!
Betz is a living legend in Washington State, and this 95-pointer is lushly generous and flavorful. Great to cellar, but pretty amazing right now. We wouldn't blame you at all for drinking it this weekend!
