Mignon`s NV (2011) Brut Rose de Saigne Pur Meunier is absolutely stellar, not to mention a huge overachiever for the vintage. Powerful, dense and explosive, the 2011 wraps around the palate with plenty of dark red plum, cherry pit, licorice and spice overtones. Hints of rose petal, lavender and mint add the final shades of complexity on the kaleidoscopic finish. This is a wine of real personality, pedigree and class. The 2011 is 100% Pinot Meunier that saw 14-15 hours on the skins.

Wow! Stone fruits for days, yes, but this 94-pointer ups the ante with killer-diller red fruits dancing around your palate.
About the Producer
It's on with Mignon. A Pinot Meunier specialist if there ever was one, these wines are on fire right now! Picking at optimal ripeness and low or no dosage along with biodynamic practices and a holistic approach to winemaking is clearly a recipe for success. Located in Le-Mesnil-le-Huttier, 13 miles west of Epernay. Mignon farms just 15 acres of vines planted by his great-grandparents and are spread among thirty parcels between the villages of Le Breuil and Festigny in the Vallee de la Marne, perfect terrain for Pinot Meunier.
